Botanical garden[edit | edit source]

Botanical garden - go to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden Sign up if you are interested:

Table mountain[edit | edit source]

Time: 12:00 (we will leave shortly there after)
Meeting location: Tea Room Restaurant at the 2nd Gate inside Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Meeting outside of the restaurant.
Note: please bring at least R65 to pay for admission in to the botanical garden.

Table Mountain gondola and hiking trip. We will be taking the Nursery Ravine trail which starts at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Leaving at 12:00 from the Tea Room Restaurant at the 2nd Gate inside Kirstenbosch. In this way we are combining with the Botanical garden trip (see above) so please sign up for that as well. We will just leave the Botanical garden a little bit later after returning from the Nursery Ravine hike.

The gondola will be closed for maintenance from the 23rd July onwards so we have had to cancle the trip up the mountain from that side.

Discussion[edit | edit source]

How about we do the Nursery Ravine trail which starts at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens instead. That way we can do the gardens and the trail at once. We start at the Gardens in the morning (9:00) have an early lunch there at 11:00 and then do the Nursery Ravine trail at 12:00 to the top of the mountain and come back down again by 17:00? • This sounds nice! Nonoxb (talk) 22:12, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
  • I'm fine with any options, as long as it's on the 23rd July (another date won't be convenient for me). Not so interested in the botanical garden visit though; just the table mountain hike. Also, 9am may be too early :(. --Jamie Tubers (talk) 00:12, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
  • Would also be up for this option, garden + hike. When / how is there going to be a decision on this? John Weitzmann (WMDE) (talk) 07:26, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
  • Discott, what time can I tell my Airbnb I’ll be there (after the hicking)? We will be down at 17:00? So 18:00 back to Cape Sun? Is this making sense? Benoit Rochon (talk) 16:16, 22 July 2018 (UTC)

Game evening[edit | edit source]

Let's play some card and/or board games. Bring what you have, make what we need. May be one of the local Wikipedians will borrow us a game or two.
Lobby, from right in the evening?

  • I've got three decks of cards. RonnieV (talk) 23:37, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
