My name is Manik Soren and I belong to an indigenous community called Santal, a largest indigenous community in Indian sub-continent. I have completed my post-graduation from University of Rajshahi in Mass Communication and Journalism.
I have been engaging with Wikipedia since February, 2017 for creating Santali Wikipedia. Now the Santali Wikipedia project is going on incubator stage. As a test administrator of this project I am trying to engage more people from my community. However we are able make contributors from Bangladesh, India and Nepal where most number of Santal people are living. And already have organised two workshop in Bangladesh and India respectively with the support of Wikimedia Bangladesh and Odia Wikipedian's. I hope shortly the Santali Wikipedia will be live.
Besides this engagement I am contributing in Bengali & English Wikipedia and Wikimedia commons.
